7 of my Favorite Summer Finds

Since for me, summer is coming to a end very soon. And for the past 2 months, I have realized some of my favorite summer discoveries this season! I definitely have gone out of my comfort zone this summer, but I am quite happy that I did! And for my getting out of my comfort zone, it led me to trying new things!

So here are my favorite summer finds!

#1 MAC Sheer Pressed Powder
If you read my last July favorites post you would know that I have been falling in love with this pressed powder! I am not much of a powder / foundation person when it comes to everyday use. The only times I would really wear it would be for dance competitions, but It had to be super heavy make up. I have been wanting something that is pretty sheer, yet gives you coverage! And this powder is perfect for that combination! Especially for the summer since you don't want to just cake on a bunch of powder!

#2 Periwinkle H&M Flats

These are becoming a much have for the summer. I bought these about a month ago, and I have worn them so much! I love pairing them with just a plain white teeshirt because they give such a great pop of color to a outfit! Plus they have such a happy color on them that they make you happy! ( at least to me :) )

#3 H&M Rings

If you know me, you know I have a huge problem with rings. It's not that I don't like them or anything in that aspect, it's the fact that I have crooked fingers ( lol ewww i know it's weird ) so it's very hard for me to find rings that actually do fit my fingers. But the other day when I was at H&M I just fell in love with the pattern on these rings! I just had to go on a hunt for the perfect ring size in that style! And luckily I found it! I have been wearing these rings non stop because out how they give this intricate detail to the outfit! Plus they were at a great price!

#4 Voluspa Candle in Laguna

I have been getting into a very big candle faze.I have been making my room smell AMAZING because of how many times a day I burn my candles!  Lately I have been loving some really good summer scents, and I fell in love with this scent from Voluspa! Voluspa has to probably be my second favorite candle company other than Bath and Body Works! They have great scents with the adorable tins that you can use after for storage! Plus, I was able to snag a set of 3 new of their scents at Nordstroms at their Anniversary Sale for only $15! Definitely worth the price for these amazing scented candles!

#5 Target Stationary

As some of you may know, but I have been loving writing letters to my friends in Arizona! (Where I used to live) I love writing the old fashioned way instead of typing and being able to save the written letters for memories! And since I have been writing so much more, I o course have to have some adorable stationary to go with it! These ones from Target were very cute! I love the color blocking! Plus, I like to switch the colors and mix and match the envelope colors with the letter colors to really make it adorable! Plus they were only $10 for a huge box of them!

#6 J Crew Striped Shirt

I was so fortunate to be able to snag this adorable coral and white striped tee shirt from J Crew the other day when they were having their sale! When I bought it originally I didn't realize how long it was, but I actually really like it that its long! I think it's perfect for those lazy summer days that I just want to hang out in leggings. I also wore this shirt the other day when I was volunteering at a event and (If I don't say so myself) the shirt literally made my whole entire outfit ten times better!

#7 Tie-Dye Target Dress

No words can explain how much I love this dress. It's so easy going a summery that  it gives you a super cute outfit without even trying! I love pairing this dress with my target sandals or even wedges! Usually I wouldn't go for this type of a pattern this bold, but I just and to take this chance because of how much I loved the print!

Back 2 School: DIY Personalized Binder Covers

I have been seeing these all over Pinterest! And they are the Personalized Binder covers! I absolutely love the Lilly Pulitzer ones! And since I wanted these binder covers for my upcoming school year, I decided that I wanted to try and recreate them myself!

Here are my steps into getting these fabulous binder covers for the upcoming school year!

Step 1: Find Your Patterns!

For this first step, I went on google and typed up Lilly Pulitzer Patterns and it can up with a bunch of really cute patterns.  You can also search up "Polka Dot Pattern's" or even "Striped Patterns"

The possibilities are endless!

*Hint*
If you look up chevron, you will find the most adorable patterns!

I ended up choosing this solid turquoise and black and white chevron pattern!

Step 2: Opening it up

What you are going to need to do for this step is to open it up inside your word processor application on your computer ( Pages, Word, even PowerPoint! )

Since I have a Macbook, I will be using Pages.

If you are using Word, don't worry! Most of the buttons and such are close to each other!

What I did above was just opening up a blank document and then inserting the picture that I have chosen to be my background.

What you are going to do next is enlarge the image so it fits the entire document!

Step 3: Creating the Banner!

Here comes the fun part! Now you are going to be able to add in the words to identify your binder cover!

Next you are going to click on shapes, and choose the square.

( You can pick to do the other shapes, But I just like the look of the square)

Then your page should look like this:

Next thing you will do is extend the square across the whole page.

And there you go! You have your banner!

Feel free to change the color! I wasn't liking the blue on blue combo that was on before. So I decided this really pretty pink!

Step 4: Adding in the text
This is another fun part of this process! Now you are going to be able to label your binder cover!

If you would like to know where I got the fonts, I actually downloaded them from

First Add in a text box:

Then type in the class / label that you would like to be in the box.

I highly recommend enlarging your text. In my case, the font that I was about to choose actually made the original font smaller, so I would have to make it really big number wise.

If you would like to find the font that I used on dafont.com, it is called Wednesday!

And their ya go! Your adorable Binder Cover!

All you have to do now is print it out and insert it into your binder!

Here are some more examples that I made!

Back 2 School: School Supplies Essentials

This upcoming school year, one of my big goals is to get all A's. And to do this I must be extremely organized! For me, one of the ways to get me to all A's is being organized! So here are my essentials for school and how I organize them!

#1 Binder's

This year I decided to switch things up and go with one binder for each class. Last school year I was only using a folder and one binder. Long story short, It didn't really help me. It actually made me personally feel more disorganized. But this school year I tryed to get at least a 1.5 inch binder for each class. Before I went and got my binders I made a color coding list to help me plan which notebooks to get.

I then coordinated the binders with the notebooks I got!  And since I have not started school yet, I have not labeled my dividers and such. But I just added the necessities to my binders so far such ad filler paper and graphing paper for geometry.

#2  Colorful Pens & Highlighters
If you know me you know that anything bright and colorful makes me happy! This is why I adore using bright and colorful pens and highlighters! They are so useful when it comes to studying and taking notes! But what I really love using them is in my agenda! I have a color code system with my planner where I use my highlighters to tell me what is upcoming! (To read more about my agenda look at #4)

#3 Notebook's
Like I said before above about binders, I love using notebooks along with them! To me notebooks are easier to take notes in instead of binder paper because they are contained inside the spiral! Yet I still use a binder to help contain handouts and such. But I love that this year I have a notebook for each class, which will definitely benefit me more than using one HUGE notebook to write all of my notes in.

#4 Agenda
You have most likely have seen every one rave about these Erin Condren Planners, and I do have to say that I am a HUGE fan of them! I love how the days are set up into morning, day and night and how colorful and bright they are! I do have a color coding system for my planner which definitely helps me a lot when it comes to school life and my personal life. During school days, don't usually use the morning, day and night aspect of the planner. But what I do is that I use the Morning part to write all of the assignments due, test's, or anything else for that day such as a appointment or meeting. And then for the Day and Night aspect I use that area to write my homework for the day! But as for the weekend I try to use the morning, day and night sections!

#5 Little Notebook
This is another one of my secrets to organizing my day. Since I use my planner for more of my school life and writing down my homework and appointments, I use a small notebook to write down EVERYTHING I need to do for that day! Kinda like a big to-do list! But only it has everything! In the to-do list I will include all of my homework, appointments I need to go to, and even things that I do on a daily basis! This reason why I include items that I already do on a daily basis is do it can help motivate me to do more!

What are some of your techniques and school essentials?
