Traveling Essentials

Hey guys! So I don't know about you but I'm pretty darn excited that thanksgiving is coming up! I just love how every one just comes together and celebrates with food and your family:). Another reason why I like it is that I get to travel to drive to another state! So this blog post is dedicated to come traveling messes items that are pretty much helpful for any traveling process!
Picture
First I want to start off with what to bring. For me I'm going on a 6-8 hour car ride through the middle of nowhere. So I really want to bring things that are going to entertain me. So I usually bring a big backpack . These are great for saving space in the car instead of having 10 different bags.

I usually bring a pillow and a blanket just because it's a long car ride, and we are leaving early in the morning so I would probably be really tired. To go along with those I usually want to be really comfy in the car, so I bring along my iPad and some head phones and watch my movies on my iPad. One really good tip is for two nights before you leave, download some movies onto your iPad. Never do it the night before because problems ALWAYS occur when you do this:)

Another this that's bring is my school work. I like to get a head start on chapters in my hard subjects so I like to do a lot of the homework ahead of time. This really helps because then after the break I won't have as much homework as I would have:)

And then the last two things are the most important things to me, my phone and a hair brush. My phone is pretty obvious why I have it, but I bring a hair brush only because my hair gets EXTREMELY frizzy and ugly when I stay in the same space for a long time. So during road trips I'm constantly brushing my hair :)

So the last this is my favorite traveling outfit. This is probably my most favorite part of traveling. The fact of being all warm and cozy in a space is nice to me:). What I usually wear in a long sleeve of some sort, and then up I usually wear some black leggings ( usually my Lulu Lemons). Then during the car ride or plane ride I like to wear fuzzy socks with moccasins or slippers. And then when I'm walking around for a little , I like to wear my Ugg boots. And then if I get cold, I usually bring a swat shirt of some sort, but usually a crew neck.
So I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Watch out for Fridays post!

November Wishlist

As Christmas is coming closer, I'm starting to really thing about what I want for Christmas. In my family Christmas is a really big deal in my family, which I love about my family:) I just love the cold weather and always being warm, being able to go ice skating, and doing stuff you aren't able to do during the summer! But since we still have almost 6 weeks till Christmas:( But it's never to late to start thinking! Most of the stuff that are on this list is more of beauty and fashion related. But when we get closer to Christmas, I will definitely put up my official wish-list. This is just stuff I like :)
Picture
The first this that I really want is some sort of shirt. Right now I don't have a lot of warm comfy long sleeve shirts, because here in California you NEVER know what the weather is going to be like! So for now I just really like the two simple button up shirts and then the sweater with the elbow patches. But I LOVE the J Crew button up shirt with the jewels on them. It is absolutely adorable and such a staple piece.

Next this is shoes. I think I have a problem. I'm just in love with riding boots and the Tory Burch Reva Flats.  They both just have the timeless look to them that makes them so classic! You can basically pair them with any outfit! Plus riding boots are perfect for the fall when you get tired of your Ugg boots.

Another great thing to have with your riding boots are a good pair of warm socks that just peak over the top of your boots. Since sometimes you riding boots don't give you warmth, these will definitely help you with that problem!

Some accessories that I have been in love with is the Kate Spade gold glitter watch and the Tory Burch wristlets. Now I have always loved Michel Kors watches for a long time, but this watch I'm definitely in love with. When you look at it you think that it could overdo you entire outfit, but actually it can make it look so classy and preppy! The wristlets on the other hand is perfect when you don't want to bring your purse, but you still need your money and your phone. I think it's perfect for when you want to go to school! But I LOVE the trim on the wristlet! It's probably many most favorite patter from Tory Burch!

I have been liking a couple makeup products lately. I really want to get the naked basics Pallet because I think it would be perfect for traveling and the fall time! I also have been really getting into nail polishes, and I defiantly need some neutral colors for winter and fall!

The last two things that I want is a monogrammed necklace and a pair of jeweled earrings. The monogrammed necklace I have been wanting for a while now, but just a simple gold one is $100! So I think I rather just ask for it for my birthday but either holiday is fine. The earrings on the other hand I really need. I have a ear problem where I can't wear ANY THING fake. So I really want a good pier of earrings!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Make sure to look out for my next post on Wednesday!

Skin Care Routine

Hey guys! As the warm air leaves us the cold air comes in, which means that are skin is going to start getting dry. Here is my winter skin care routine!
Picture
1.) First I like to take off all of my face makeup. I HATE going into the shower felling powder on my face:( but I really like these face wipes. Actually I mean to say that I love the whole Olay Fresh effects line! It's super hydrating, but it helps better in the summer!

2.) since I usually can't take off all on my eye makeup using the wipes I love using this Maybelline Flash Clean Eye make up remover. This product works so well  and it doesn't irritate your skin at all!

3.) While I'm in the shower I like to wash my face. Usually I like to use the Clean and Clear deep action scrub during the winter. But sometimes the Clean and Clear daily face wash works just perfect.

4.) Sometimes if I feel like my face is still not clean I use my Cetephil Gentle Skin Cleanser. It works pretty well but I have found that when I use this it make my skin REALLY peel, but I gives my face a really good wash.

5.)now for moisturizer, I LOVE this clean and clear dual acne control moisturizer, like I said before my skin get really dry but I also break out a lot, so I love using this.

6.) Last but now least , my FAVORITE moisturizer, other then the one before is the benefit total moisturizer. This work really well for normal and gentle skin types.

Well, that's it! I hope you guys try out some of these products! Please tell me down bellow what you like to use for your skin routine during cold weather!

My Room Plans

Hey guys! Today's post will be all about my future plans for my room! I don't know about anybody else, but sometimes when I'm on the internet and let's say I'm looking up  a type of style, let's say edgy, and if I'm looking at that type of stuff for a while, I get attached to it. But then days go by and I realize that I hate it and that I wasn't even thinking when I was looking up that stuff:) we'll this time, I actually have a idea that I have been loving for a while now! It's very classy yet preppy. And I think it suites me perfectly ;)

So the idea is to incorporate the Lily Pulitzer “First Impression " fabric in with my white furniture. The pattern has this aqua / turquoise color as the background and then it has these flowers that are pink and white with hints of green. It is absolutely gorgeous! And ties in well with my room!

While I was thinking about how I could incorporate this pattern into my room, I thought that since my furniture is all white it's perfect! But one thing that I was concerned the most is that since I live in apartments, we are not allowed to paint on are walls. So it kind of looks weird when I have all white furniture and then white walls. So what I thought about doing was getting a big wood monogram wall hang. But the best part is that I found a place where they can paint the print onto the monogram! I think that will tie in colors very well off of the wall.

I'm also going to be adding hints of gold pillows and decor just so my room doesn't have to be all of those colors. I think I'm going to get some gold pillows made and then matching pillows in the first impression fabric.

The last thing I will be doing is getting more storage for my room. Like I said before, I live in an apartment, so my room is pretty tight. Down bellow I put some pictures of these cubical storage things from target. It's almost like a book case, but I can hole so much. I will also be getting a storage bench. I wanted to get this so I could put it in front of my window, it would be perfect :)

Hope you guys enjoy this post! I will be definitely bet showing before and after picture once it's done:) it might take a while, but I'll make sure it's perfect for you guys:)

: Lakers Game - Yellow and Purple goes Green and Blue

Hey guys! So today's post is going to be my first Outfit of the day! Last night I got to go to the Staples Center to watch the LA Lakers with my friends. It was really fun! I have been to the staples center so many times that I know that it's freezing inside, so I dressed in my dark green sweater from h&m and a blue statement necklace that is also from h&m. I loved how the color really popped with the green because it gives you a cozy feeling, plus it kept me warm:) Along with those items I also wore my wunder under lulu lemon crop leggings  and my tall chestnut ugg's.
Picture
This picture above is what the outfit looked , but just more clearly instead of my photos:) The picture bellow is what my outfit really looked like. Sorry its really unsharp, but you get what i looked like ;)

The rest of the photo's are just photo's from the game:)

Fall Beauty Favorites 2013

Hey Guys! So i know this is my 2nd time doing a fall trends post, but i thought these would be a good idea to start off the whole blog:) right now all of the leaves falling, temperatures starting to cool down, and every one brings out the scarves and ugg's. Every one trys to go for the warm and cozy look. And i think i have just the products! :)
Picture
First starting off with eyes. I have chosen here the Naked basics Pallet by Urban Decay. It's basically just the Naked 1 & 2 pallet mixed together using all of the neutrals. I think that these colors are PERFECT for fall. You could use the two lighter colors to highlight your brows and then you can use the colors "Naked 2 " and "Fait" as your base and crease! And then if you want you could use the black color as a replacement for the eyeliner for those days where you don't want to wear as much make up.
Picture
The next product that i have is the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Loose Powder Foundation.  Many people say that this is a product especially in the fall, it doesn't really cake on to your face, but it gives your face the effect of a very finished face. But then again, every one is different. So it might work for one person, and not for another:)
Picture
So this next product is something that i have loved for years! It is the Ponds Cold Creme. This is a moisturizer , make up remover, and a cleanser. And it actually works! It feels the best right after when you come out of a hot shower, and it just cools you down and relaxes you. Plus it helps reduce oily skin during the summer and moisturizes your face during the winter.

The next two products are my two favorite fall lip colors. For me, I decide on my lip color by how  the day is going to be. Of course I don't put this all over my lips, but i just put enough to see my lips in a different color. On the bottom i have the Urban Decay Revolution Lip Stick in Rapture. This color would definitely e for my more darker and lazier day. And on the top i have the Clinique Chubby Stick ( I don't know what color it's in :( ). This color is absolutely AMAZING. It's for the days that i don't want to put much effect on my lips but just a touch  out boldness. :)
Picture
This last product is this beautiful red nail polish by Essie in the color " Fish Net Stockings " . This color is a must have in fall wardrobe. It can go with endless outfits. From school to parties, it can make your outfit look classy or edgy!

So I hope you guys liked this post! By next week I should start putting some OOTD's :)

Love,
Sophia
