What's in my Backpack?

September is flying by! Just yesterday it felt like it was the first day of school, and not we are almost one with a entire month of school! But since I have been in school for a little bit, Me being my self have accumulated quite a lot in my backpack.... But just for the sake of this post, I had to narrow it down to my "essentials" if you must say, or even the thing that are in my backpack daily.

I of course have to first start off with what type of backpack I own! I have a North Face Jester Backpack in Black. I bought this laster year in March for around $40 on sale! :)

It comes with two main compartments:

One Big one:

And one small one:

Everything is pretty self explanatory, but occasionally I will have a couple of different things in my backpack depending on the class i'm going to.

I also carry around my lunch box and my water bottle!

What type of backpack do you have?

Or

How do you organize your backpack?

Guest Post: Motivation by Your Typical Prep

You can do this.

Internalize those words and you're good to go.

Confidence is tough. It lacks where it shouldn't and shows up in the places you need it the least. It can drive you crazy at night with thoughts of "if only" and "I should have done this differently." The hardest part about having confidence? You have to make it; you are responsible for making it show up where you need it because as great as it would be, there isn't a magical fairy to shower you with confidence dust when you go to present a project in front of your class.

It always seems impossible until it's done

I feel as though the biggest inhibitor of confidence comes from a mindset where you doubt yourself. If you tell yourself you can't do something, there's a good chance it's not going to happen. So here's what I do: when I feel like there's no way I'm going to be able to do something, whether it's interviewing a popular guy for yearbook or auditioning for a clarinet solo in band, I just try to let go. By that, I mean I try to forget about everything that could cause me to get nervous and lack confidence. I just stop worrying.

It sounds simpler than it is. But, take a step back in your mind and think about living in the moment and not worrying about what will happen before, during, or after. Just plunge yourself into it and you'll find yourself doing something you never could have imagined. Talk about a confidence booster!

//

Next time you feel like you can't possibly be confident enough to do something, think to yourself, "I can do this," and just go for it!

School Morning Must-Haves

As school goes on, it becomes harder and harder for me to wake up. But there are certain things that help me with! So here are my secrets to making your morning better! :)

- A Ice cold drink of water
Every night, It is one of my rituals for me to fill my water bottle with probably the closest water in the world and keep it by my bedside. By the time I wake up the water is still cold! And If you drink some cold water right after you wake up, I can assure you that it will help wake you up and start your day!

- Clean & Clear Morning Burst Face Wash
Another thing that I do almost immediately after I roll out of bed is wash my face! For the longest time, I have been using the Clean & Clear morning Burst Face Wash. Some people say that it docent work, but for me it does! I love the citrus smell in it! It for sure helps me wake up! Plus after my face smells super good :).

- My Clothes Prepared
I cannot stress how much this helps in the morning! I have gone through years and years of mornings where I have to scramble to find my outfit and then me ending up being late! Just this year I started planning my out fits of the week every sundays, and it has helped me tremendously!

-Starbucks Drink
Most of you don't know, but I live latterly across the street my school, which means that I have to walk to school most of the times. With that being said, I always become super tired when ever I walk to school. Last year during finals week I tried the Starbucks Frapachino Drinks that you can buy in packages and I have been falling in love with them! They definitely help wake me up in the morning! Plus they taste really good! I personally like the regular vanilla one, but I soon want to try the caramel!

Obsession: Chino Shorts

If you follow me on twitter, you know I have been LOVING my new J Crew Chino Shorts. I know, I know. Your probably thinking to your self, "Sophia, Everyone already owns Chino Shorts! Where have you been??". Before I bought them I thought they look really stiff and uncomfortable! Until one day at J Crew I tryed them on and fell in love with them! They are such a good pair of shorts! I personally like the 3 inch ones because they aren't too short of shorts, but they are also very conservative and are a great length! Plus they come is such cute colors!

Here are some that i love!

Want Wednesday

Another month has rolled by, which means ever more stuff I want! These couple of items I have been eyeing, but I am actually considering buying a couple just because I think that I could get a good use out of them! :)

Here they are!

1. Ivivva Scarf

Here in California, people are constantly obsessed with their image and fitness. And with fitness comes gym clothes. And with gym clothes come Ivivva. Ivivva is this store in southern California that  has more smaller sized lulus that are exactly made with the same materials as  Lulu Lemon! And me being the accessories junkie that I am, is obsessed with this blue and pink scarf! I think that this would be perfect for winter nights or even wearing it going to dance practice!

2. J Crew Factory Lace Panel Shirt

I adore the colors and the color blocking of this top! I think is a must have for fall! If I were able to have this, I think I would pair this with a pair of dark wash jeans, black Tory Burch flats and of course a gold monogram necklace!

3. Custom Lilly Lobstah Roll Shorts

I have been eyeing these shorts for the longest time! They are absolutely adorable! Even though the weather is getting much cooler, I probably will still end up buying them because they are so dang cute!

Since school has been going on lately, I have been trying to find some new tote bags that I could possibly use for school! I don't want something flashy or huge. Just something simple yet structured. And I think this beg fits my find perfectly! I love how it has gold hardware ( which is perfect because I wear gold almost every day!), and it has a very neutral color that I could match with almost anything!

What items have you been liking lately?

What do you think it means to be classy?
Being Classy to me means having manners and showing a great amount of kindness! There isn't any other way to say it! You have to have manners and kindness in order to become a very successful and classy lady! :)

Who are some of your role models?
Probably everyone in my family! From my mother even up to my cousins, each and everyone of them has a little piece of them that I wish I had. It could be courage or even being creative! They all have something that I look up to them!

Who are some of your style icons?
Celebrity wise: Loran Conrad. She has such a simple and timeless style, that it makes any one envy her!
Non-Celebrity Wise: My two cousins, Mehri and Megan. They are like sister that I never had! They have taught me everything that I know about clothes. From Mehri teaching me about simplicity and timeless outfits, to Megan teaching me about mixing patterns and when to not wear bracelets with a necklace ;). Both of them have completely different styles, but both of them inspire me so much!

Pearls or bows?
Pearls hands down! they give anyone such a amount of elegance with any outfit!

Who/What inspires you?
I think I would have to go along the lines as my role models and still say my family. They are always there for me and inspire me to do the things I love!

What is your favorite color?
This is probably one of the hardest questions that anyone could ask me. It changes constantly. But who could go wrong is a baby pink!

Do you like the classy style? What are some of your favorite pieces/trends of the style?
I do like the classy style, but it depends. I don't like wearing skirts constantly and having button up shirts on everyday, but sometimes I do! My favorite classy trend would have to be big jewelry! I love a good statement necklace!

What are some of your favorite quotes?
"If you haven't felt like quitting, your dreams aren't big enough"
"It is in Christ we find who we are and what we are living" -Ephesians 1:11
"Everything happens for a reason"

Why is it important to have class?
Class is important to have because of how you can be positive in any situation!

Why did you start your blog? When did you start your blog?
I started my blog on October 5th of 2013. The reason I started this blog was because I needed a outlet for me to express my love for fashion! Plus I thought it would also be a great way for me to improve my writing skills!

I tag:

Good Luck Ladies!

Obsession: Small Notebooks

Since it has been 2 weeks into school, I have been using my to-do list notebook like crazy! Like I have said before, I use this as a to-do list for EVERYTHING! But it has saved me so much time for thinking of what I need to do next!

And of course it always helps to have it in a cute cover! So here are my recommendations for notebooks!

Sweet 16 Party Planning: Theme Insparations

As some of you may know/experienced, sophomore year is the year of Sweet 16's! From the crazy themes to the dance floor music, they are always super fun! But as much as I love a big party, I will only be able to have a small sweet 16 this year, which I am completely fine with! But with planning a Sweet 16 comes picking a theme!

Picking a theme is probably the hardest part of the whole party! So here are some themes that you may consider!

Which theme do you like?
