Merry Christmas & My Family's Christmas Traditions

Christmas Eve last night was so much fun! I got to see my cousin Mehri and her Husband Cj, my little cousin Max and his parents, and some of my family from the East coast! It was a lot of fun coming together as a family and having a great time!

Here's some photo's!

Some of my family's traditions for christmas consist of celebrating with the entire family on Christmas Eve night. That night we then hang out with our family from far away and our close relatives and open our presents from them. The main tradition from that night is to stay up until midnight (Christmas Day) to wish each other a Merry Christmas!

On Christmas Day, I wake up at might house to be greeted by the presents from my mom and I. We exchange our gifts together and then we eat breakfast together. Around noon, My mother and I then drive over to my grandma's to have some of the left overs from the night before! Usually we then go and see a movie as a family! It's always a good time!

This Christmas day was a little bit different. My cousin Mehri and her husband CJ had to leave for their flight to  New Mexico around noon, so we dropped them off at the airport. But on our way back, we stopped by a pier because of the clear day to take some photo's!

What are some of your family traditions?

Candy Cane Lane Stroll

Every year I love visiting this neighborhood in my area called Candy Cane Lane. Candy Cane Lane is a couple of streets in this neighborhood that is decked out with lights in every inch of the street. It is absolutely stunning seeing all of the pretty lights! Every year my cousin takes my friend Claudia and I to dinner and then to drive through the lights. Since we go during the night time, I always like dressing very warm yet cute for dinner! Here is what I wore!

Want Wednesday

Lately, I have been loving all of the christmas deals that have been going on! Currently I'm broke, so that makes me want to go shopping even more But I still have been eyeing a few things and I thought I would share with you what I have been loving!

I absolutely love the color of these lulu's! I have been in need of some long wunder under lulu's since it's been getting cold around here. And I think these would be a great piece to spice up a lazy sunday outfit!

On Black Friday I tryed out this hand creme and fell in love with it! It might a little bit expensive but if you were to get the big hand creme you only need a tiny bit to put on your hands.

This bracelet is such a great winter / holiday piece! I could totally see this in a Christmas eve or New years Eve outfit!

I have been in need of a new wallet, and I think that this is such a great and useful accessory! Since I go to High School, I usually bring around my wallet with me to buy food and my phone. Plus I am in love with the pattern!

What have you been loving?

Winter Nail Picks

This time of the year is my favorite to pick up some new nail polishes. I love the different dark toned colors because they always make winter outfits just a little but more cozier! I recently just got a couple, and then I went online and started finding so many more! So I decided to share with you some of my favorites!

What are your favorite colors of this season?

My Christmas Wishlist 2014

Every year I look forward to this time of year! I love getting gifts (Who doesn't?!) but I especially love giving gifts! While i'm deciding on what to ask from my family, I mostly think about which gifts would be good for my friends and family! I personally feel like i'm the only one who does this, but comment down bellow if you do? How long do you spend creating your list?

And of course, I do have to point out that I am not in any way saying that I will be getting all of the things that I want on my list for Christmas. Heck, I would be blessed if I received one of them!

Alex and Ani Bracelets: I think these bracelets are super cute! They would be the perfect addition to help me expand my arm candy collection!

Smart Girl Group Long Sleeve Shirt: Some of you may know, but I am currently interning at the Smart Girl Group! And I thought that it would be a great idea for me to get a shirt from them so I can help advertise and get the word out about them. Plus it's perfect for this time of the year!

Canon Rebel T3i: Now, this camera I have been eyeing for a while now. I have used it before in my photography class last year and I loved the great quality in photo's it gives!

Emily Ley Simplified Planner: I know, I know. Your probably thinking "Sophia. You already have a Erin Condren Planner". And i still love my EC Life Planner. It's just that I really like the layout and how much more room I have for this planner then I do for my Erin Condren Planner. Plus it comes in really run colors!

Kate Spade Gramercy Watch in Gold: This gift is probably one of my favorites! This watch is absolutely stunning! I was so close to asking for a Michel Kors watch (Just like how everybody and their mothers has one) but I love the detailing and simplicity that the Kate Spade Watch has!

Lilly & Laura Bracelets: This is another set of bracelets I would like to add to my collection. I love looking at the website at all of the fun colored jewelry and just thinking about the endless outfits you could pair them with!

Sperry's Original 2-Eye Boat Shoe in Sahara Leather: These are such a staple to any preppy outfit, that I am still confused on why I don't have them in my closet! I love the SaharaLeather color so much and I think it would be perfect for the summer and winter!

Voluspa Candle in Laguna: This is kind of a weird gift request, but I really badly want this candle! It smells like perfection! I bought a mini version of it back in the summer and I wanted to keep on buying the set of 3 and only use that one because it smelled so good!

Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt: Last year after christmas, I was so close to buying a shep shirt when the holiday sales were happening but I ended up not getting it! I did try it on and it was so warm and cozy. This would be the perfect outfit addition to any lazy day attire! But what my real problem is, is which patter / color scheme do I want! All of them are so cute!

What do you want for Christmas?

A Week With Sophia: 11/30 - 12/6

What a great past couple of weeks! I have been through so much the past couple of weeks from getting surgery to going to a concert that I have been jam packed with things ( One of the reasons why I have been unable to post a lot). But now I am finally in a good place and I am working really hard on my upcoming blog post, so stay tuned!

I guess I will begin with weeks around Thanksgiving. The Friday before Thanksgiving, I got my Wisdom teeth out. It probably wasn't the smartest idea to do it so close to the holiday, but I really needed them to get them out. But I am really glade I did so know I don't have to worry about them any more!

My recovery went well and everything (My mouth still hurst a little bit, but it's normal). The next big adventure was actually for Thanksgiving and it was to visit my mom's side of the family in Arizona. I love visiting there because I used to live there a couple of years ago and it's always fun to see where we used to go on a daily basis.

I got to catch up with some of my old friends there and I go to hang out with my family while Black Friday shopping.  There was so many great deals in store! I got a great deal on some Victoria Secret PINK black yoga pants! They were so worth it! I wear them everyday because they are so comfy.

As my mother and I came back from Arizona, we came back into reality. (A.K.A School.) I don't know why but I have been stressing about finals already when they are a month away! But then again, I rather be prepared then not being prepared.

Surprisingly, I loved the weather in California this week! It rained all through Sunday night, Monday and all of Tuesday! I absolutely adore the cold weather and snuggling with a big warm blanket and some hot chocolate while doing homework and listening to the rain! Plus I got to break in my new boots.

During the week not many other exciting things happened besides the rain, but Friday I was able to score some tickets to the KIIS FM Radio Jingle Ball Concert! I was ecstatic to go with my best friend Claudia and my cousin Megan and her fiance! We had so much fun singing and dancing all night! I personally loved Pharrel, Iggy and Sam Smith! All of the artists were amazing and put on a great show.

As for today, I spent the morning running errand with my mom like going to Target to get a new binder and then we had to visit Home Depot to get some Poinsettia Flowers for out house! These flowers are such a Christmas Staple for our family! They brighten up the room immediately! I even got a mini one for my room!

While we were at Home Depot, they had some bouquet of hydrangeas of all different colors. They were to pretty not to take a picture!

What did you do this week?
