A Week With Sophia: 10/12 - 10/25

What a week! I have been really learning more and more about prioritizing my time and really staying on task this week! With being in the school play, having 7 tests & quizzes, Ballet, club meeting and so much more that I have been trying to balance (Not even including Fab Girl Blog and my own blog!)

On Monday I was so excited to have received yet another letter! This one was from Monogrammed Madison! I absolutely adored her stationary! Plus she is the sweetest! :)

As for Tuesday, I spent the evening with my cousin! We were discussing Halloween costumes (Yet, another thing I haven't started) and we then got on to the topic of costumes for her dog Eloise. Megan then got the idea of putting this adorable pearl necklace! She looks absolutely adorable!

This is a sports team where high school students (Ours was the High School Version) where they go up and improve. I had the best time! I was laughing the whole time! :) This is for sure something that I need to start going to!

On Saturday evening I went over to my friend Abby's house for a pumpkin carving party! We had a blast! there was so many delicious treat and such a great way to celebrate Fall! Here's my pumpkin!

Of course I had to do my monogram!

A Week With Sophia: 10/5 - 10/11

This week has been a blast!

During this week I have been flustered with school with tests, quizzes and meeting!

But I survived!

This week has also been super important because I created my first club!

It has been such a great experience while creating it! It has definitely showed me the rules of responsibility and keeping up to date.

The club I created is called the SCRUBS Club! Which is for kids who are interested in Medicine and Biology! We plan to go to meeting and different medical events to help explore the business in science!

Nothing major really happened the rest of the week (The usual School, Dance, and Social Life Stuff)

But currently i'm writing to your from one of my favorite places in the world! Yup! That Right!
I am currently writing to your from the LACMA!

I'm here with my friend Lily exploring the museum! We are having a blast looking at all of the new art that they have installed here in the past two months!

Of course I had to get Keith Harring Pins! He's my favorite artist of all time! <3

Super fun Day!

Shout out to Lil W.

My Favorite Twitter Accounts

More and more each day I have been loving twitter! About a year ago I tried to get on to the social media app, but I just didn't have the time to be constantly tweeting and being updated. But for some reason now I do understand it! Over the course of time, I have found some of the best accounts in my view! And I thought it would be nice to share them with you!

Tag: Preppy Girl Tag

I absolutely love getting tagged in tags (lol) and getting nominated for different awards! Usually I get nominated to do these by some one else, But i decided to nominate myself because I thought it would be fun to do something different! Plus its really fun to answer these questions!

I choose to nominate everyone to do this tag! It's super fun!

1.What is your definition of preppy?

A timeless and classic style with a hint of color at the best moments!

2. What is your all time favorite brand?

Without a doubt, J Crew. I don't even have to think about it! Their clothes are to classic and perfect!

3. What is your favorite Lilly Pulitzer print?

Out of all of the prints, It would have to be a tie between Lobstah Roll and First Impression! Both of these prints are inspired in my room!

4. Who is your favorite preppy Youtuber?

Probably, Sarahbellex93 and TheMakeupByDanielle!

5. Sperry's or Jack Rogers?

For sure Sperry's! I love how you can wear them with almost every outfit and they will still look good! And you can sport them both in the summer and the winter!

6. Jeans or Khakis?

I would probably have to say jeans because they come in different types of washes and colors. Plus I have never really owned khakis before!

7. Duck boots, Riding boots, or Hunters?

Definitely Riding Boots! Especially since you can wear them in my favorite times of the year, Fall and Winter!

8. Navy or Black?

Is this even a question? Of course Navy!

9. On a scale of 1-10, How much do you love J Crew?

Infinite! :)

10. Favorite Ralf Lauren Item?

I personally don't own anything from Ralf Lauren but I have to say that I do really like their button downs!

11. Pearls or Bows?

I do love bows, but I adore Pearls! They give any outfit a more classic look!

Let me know if you do this tag! :)

Sweet 16 Party Planning: Picking a Theme

As my second post of this series I thought it would be good if I age you guys a few pointers on how address one of the biggest questions of party planning:

How do I decide on the theme of my party?

I always struggle with this question and how I am trying to search and try to find the answer! For me I ended up choosing on having a small party for my birthday in February, But I absolutely love my theme! I found it off of Pinterest! And I think it is absolutely adorable!

And it is...

Eloise at the Plaza!

It took me a very long time for me to really decide if I wanted to base my party over this theme, but I think I am making a adorable choice!

So here are my tips on trying to find the answer this question!

What type of party do you want?

Basically there are two different answers to this question: A fun dance floor kinda party or small and close party. This mostly relies on your guest list and such, but you could easily change that. If you want a big party, think of some fun themes! Such as a Hollywood theme or maybe a Moroccan inspired party! If your thinking about going towards the smaller party ideas think of more themes that would be more appropriate for smaller groups of people! You still could base you party with the hollywood and Moroccan theme, but usually I think to do something more original when I have less people! And as you can tell I love the book inspired themes! That is always a possibility!

What do you want to do during the party?

This is where a lot of the debate comes. Do you want to have a dance floor? Do you want to play games? Photo booth maybe? Most of these ideas come from what you budget is, but a lot of these you could definitely DIY them! Fo my party I will probably play a couple of game and possibly have tea or even brunch! Remember to keep the activities for you party are appropriate for your party! So if you are having a Alice in Wonderland theme maybe you could do something such as having a garden scavenger hunt! Or even play crocket!

Do you prefer a color scheme?

This usually isn't a big problem while deciding but sometimes people base their themes off of a color they like! I personally wanted to incorporate pink into my party somehow, but I know that sometimes people like to put in Tiffany Blue or a Light yellow into their party!

I hope this helped!

A Week With Sophia: 9/28 - 10/4

Lately I have been reading up on Dorothy ( Prepinyourstep.com) on her  "Step into my Week" Posts! I love seeing what different things that everyone does on a daily/weekly basis! I thought that since I loved the idea so much, I would do one of my own!

This week has definitely been interesting!

The beginning this week was quite boring. The usual school, dance, and study. The more interesting and fun part of this week definitely occurred from Wednesday night to Friday.

On Wednesday night, I was so excited to be chosen to be the new President and leader for the Fab Girl Bloggers! I was completely honored to be chosen! So lately I have been mostly planning for that and helping to design the new website (Which is hopefully coming soon!)

Thursday and Friday I went on a overnight field trip with one of my classes on a college trip! We visited UC Santa Barbra and Cal Poly San Louis Obispo! Both of them had absolutely gorgeous  campuses!

We mostly spent most of our time in San Louis Obispo, since it was the first night! We got to experience the school (Oh course) and then later that night we go to visit their famous farmers market!

My friends and I got very tired of the Farmers Market (The food was calling our names left and right) so we decided to drop in on a toy store! And of course I had to go hunting for my name on the mini license plates! Lol

I would highly recommend applying to San Louis Obispo if you really like the hot weather (Like Arizona) yet you want to be some where near the ocean and staying in California!

Our next stop the day after was UC Santa Barbra! I heard so many things about this school about how beautiful the campus was! And it definitely lived up to the expectations! The campus was absolutely breath taking! The campus grounds are filled with greenery and trees every where! Plus all of the students were riding their bikes every where (I nearly got ran over multiple times).

Plus the bus ride back home was beautiful with the ocean right next to the freeway!

Once I got back Friday, I sent the night in Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade for my Uncles birthday dinner (Which Was absolutely delish!) After we went to this even in Pasadena called the Rise of the Jack-O-Lanterns! It was a "show" where you can see a bunch of carved pumpkins! that had so many cool and detailed carvings!

Sorry that the Frozen inspired one is blurry, but I thought I would share it with all of you Frozen fans out there! :)

And of course the Big Bang Theory!

It was definitely a very fun night!

As for Saturday (The day I am writing this) I have so far spent my day studying for my AP Euro class  (Which basically takes up most of my life) with my friend Eileen and writing for my blog and Fab Girl Bloggers!

I'm pretty proud of my self because currently I am at a Starbucks in my area and I am outside typing when it's 91 degrees outside! But I found a perfect spot under a tree so it's nice and breezy! :)

Hope you enjoyed!
